I think I am motivated by both knowledge and sheer passion for blogging, Uncle Che. When I started out blogging, I have limited knowledge about blogging resources and all. I blog about everything that practically comes to mind in random. But since I got addicted to this blogging thingy, I am always after for knowledge wherein I could get to share to visitors coming to my blog.

I feel ashamed sometimes for not having posted anything new or something that could be of interest to everyone. But what the heck! Some things I blog might be trivial to some but is of more importance to me because of my PASSION. Take for instance my passion for watching my favorite basketball team. I so love to blog about them especially when they are in their winning form. But some might not be able to relate to it. It wouldn’t stop me from blogging about them because it’s one of my passions though my blog does not belong in the sports niche.

If I may just add Uncle Che, (sorry, I was at the office earlier using my co-worker’s laptop, I was in a hurry to post my comment, hehe), one time, I was talking online with a blogger friend, he gave me some tips on what entries could be great to write. I’ve told him I have limited knowledge and know-how over such things. Then he suggested, if it is of great interest to me, it might be of interest to everyone, too. So to come up with this particular post, though I am no expert in such field but I have HUGE passion for it, I can research about it, gather all data and needed information and synthesize them all. Thus, coming up with my own written article. JUst never forget to link back to the original author if some words were copied. I wasn’t born a writer but I love writing down what’s working up in my head. I’m just ashamed sometimes if most people coudn’t relate to it.

Hi Lainy

Hmmmm
Thanks for being so elaborative on your comment.

Your initial situation is a typical one. Most people start out with passion, and then use that passion to build up knowledge as they find their way upward. Many bloggers start by rambling, and during that time, they struggle to see what they really love, and what they can confidently talk about.

when your knowledge is not sufficient for a post, copying is of no harm if you give credits to original authors. When you lack the skills to research on a particular part of the post and give referenced material, admitting your ignorance is of no crime. No one knows it all. Even John Chow and the Problogger admit to things they don’t know. What more about us? When readers see passion embedded in your post, they can easily tolerate certain mistakes of yours.

when you don’t have something to write, feel free to interact with your readers through other means. If you write something out of your niche, but your passion is bright enough to shine through it, they will see it and be interested in reading without even knowing it is out of their taste.

when you are writing a particular post and you feel people might not really relate very much to it, relax. You are on the verge of creating a very good discussion topic. All you have to do is let it loose. Don’t stick too much on the facts and figures. Just air out your own opinions and let it loses in a way that it is easy to really and understand. Let readers know you really want to hear from them. Before you know it, people are either asking you questions or telling you what they think about it.

I call this Democracy in Blogging.

Have a nice time :d

My dear friend Lainy was so right when she said this is a no nonsense blog. I will drop by this site more often now. God bless you Uncle Che. I am just thrilled to learn more on blogging. I got so hooked in writing my articles that I failed to step back and analyze some essential things.

God bless you and thanks again for being generous with the wisdom that you share. :D

@ JORDAN
Thanks for the info, Jordan.
I think I will have to make allocation on this blog for infos of this nature so they can be somewhere relevant and easy to find.

@ MEL AVILA ALARILLA
Hi Mel, you cmments are very much encouraging and whenever i read them, I feel like writing another post right away. Thanks.

I have been having serious problems with internet connections these days and I struggle very hard just to publish a post and visit a few blogs. My providers say everything will be back to normal on Monday.

@ JENNIE
Our friend Lainy is a very wonderful person. She shows a lot of care and she is always putting this blog higher than it is. Good for us, but I will have to fight hard to live up to expectations.

I am trying my best and working for better posts. I hope you find something interesting here.

Hey, Uncle Che…I understand “connection problems all to well”

I always stop by and read (and rate) though I might not always comment.

This post is, as usual, measured, objective and thorough.

;-)
