This doesn’t happen only in the blogosphere. It is a state that applies to every Life situation. At times, you feel everything is under control. You feel you know what can pull you back and you vow you will never let it happen. You want to take precaution…and that’s OK. But, watch out! There are certain things you will never get to figure out until they meet you like a bear, face to face in a dark forest.
So far, this blog has been doing good but now it breaks my heart to see that i can’t even post daily, talk less of commenting on friends’ blogs and dropping entrecards. It’s like everything is coming to a standstil;l and i feel like “Oh, Che, this is killing you”.
Is it killing me? You bet! My internet connection has never been the best (though the providers claim it is 512) but it is OK for me. Recently, it became so slow that at times i doubt if it is even available. My providers claim they have everyth9ing under control, but won’t even tell me what the problem is. They tell me to hold on and that by the end of the month, everything will be OK.
End of the month! That’s too much for me. Will I still be a blogger when that time comes? I feel like my presence in the blogosphere will die down to zero. I feel most of my readers will forget the blog and just go where they have something to read. I feel like not getting any drops since i can’t reciprocate. There have been days that I haven’t done anything. No dropping, reading. commenting, posting etc. At times I just manage to chat with yahoo messenger.
Thank God I have some dedicated friends who care and understand that I am in some trouble. When I struggle to make a single post, I still get the comments, some of which I reply the following day. I still manage to get up to 50 drops without making any. I guess I should be having about 200 page hits now. I was surprise my alexa got improved from 375,940 to 261,846. I still get ads purchased on my blog.
This means that some people still care, even whjen I am not making it up to them. I will like to thank them very much. Without them, AZ will be nothing. I hope to get back full in the game soon. When everything gets better, I will let you know.

Oh, Uncle Che, I’m sorry for your problems. Is there not another Internet provider you can use? Granted, even here we usually only have two choices.
I hope everything gets worked out soon.

All of them are almost the same here. Very unreliable. I can’t count the number of times i have switched providers. If by the end of the month all is not OK, I guess I have no choice but switch again. I don’t pray for that, though

I’m so sorry to hear you connection sucks that much, Uncle Che! But you’re right. It’s beyond our control and it’s not your fault.
If it’s any consolation, I am always present here, day in and day out, just checking if your connection got any better. As I’ve told you the other day over YM, I feel so itchy doing the drops in your behalf, but I just couldn’t find the time. I can manage to do it though on weekends and holidays.
Anyway, I hope you don’t mind it. I was able to drop a few from your account today before going to work, about more than 50 for AZ and almost a hundred for EC for Religion. I hope I could get to accomplish more until you get your connection back to normal.

AZ,
I know how frustrating this business can be sometimes. There is so much to do and so many skill sets needed for being in the Internet business.
And it’s all so labor intensive. Small and one-man shops can’t get it all done on a day-to-day basis.
Then if you get sick or have a personal situation that needs your attention, it’s really hard because you have to let vital tasks go undone.
And although you can survive without some of it, much is necessary for success.
I would say “No one told us it would be easy,” but actually many people did.

@LAINY
Oh Come on!
Of course I don’t mind.
I am just so surprised that you managed to have some time for that. Thanks very much. That must have been too much work for you.
I am working hard to get another connection and it will be available for use from Monday. Hehe, I am very happy. I will do crazy drops, reads and comments.
I feel sick when i am so cold.

Thanks very much for the elaborate commentary, Linda.
Many people did tell us it was easy just because they wanted to encourage us to get int it. When you are in, you then decide whether it is easy or not.

Hey bro…..hi…you know what, more or less I am also on the same boat as you…..I want to so many things for my site and blog, want to keep up to date with everyone….but then….I wish we both had 36 hours and not 24 hours….
Don’t you think so???
P.S. What about the answer to that question I asked on BC about feedburner? Any idea???

Sis, I think the most interesting part of life is that it keeps us busy. Don’t be surprised that even 36hrs a day ends up not being enough. Noela used to tell me “go to sleep. You can’t finish it all this night. Tomorrow is another day”
Did you read my email?
@ STEVE
Welcome Steve and thanks. I am going to your blog right now…

That is the perennial problem in blogging- our internet connection. I am experiencing the same problem right now. My internet has been reduced to a crawl. It may not be the provider. The culprit could be a vicious virus wreaking havoc to our computer system. My teen sons are so fond of unloading games from the internet and most of the time, they contact dreaded viruses. I could not count anymore the number of times we have to reformat our system. But we have to copy first all our files so that they can be retrieved later on. Don’t worry Uncle Che. You’re not alone with your problem. Just communicate your problem with your readers and they will always understand. Thanks for your post. God bless you always. I hope you will fix your internet connection soon.

Whats up, Uncle Che? I think you are putting too much pressure on yourself to write everyday.
I check on your archive, on some days you are putting up 2 articles in a day. I won’t say that there is anything wrong with it but you need to divide your time between writing an article, promoting it and get on with your personal life.
Let your article matures for a day or two before you throw into the archive and while you aren’t writing anything, go out and make some friends through commenting on other blogs.
There is more to life than just blogging. Sometimes switching off your computer and not answering your email once in a while could be therapeutic in my opinion.
Talk to you again, Uncle Che. Have a break, have a kit kat.

Thanks very much for the facts you just pointed out. At times really it is not the problem of the provider. I reinstalled my system a few days ago and the situation is still the same. I think they are under some form of attack. That explains why they are not opening up to me. They may think I will rate their service as “unsecured”. I think I will have to talk to a one of the customer service attendant on a one-to-one basis.
@ YAN
Hey tough guy, I get your advice. I am so passionate about blogging that, maybe, I tend to forget other things related to blogging. But not really. I just have a schedule that is unusual.
Actual, I take this period as an opportunity to have a break :d though I really doubt if I am having that break.
As for turning off my PC for a while, my fiancee has promised to kill me if I don’t do it regularly
